Desarius.Legion

Massive deterministic simulation engine for Unity DOTS/ECS, designed for up to 64 players and 100,000+ active units at 15 Hz.

Technical Overview

Legion exists for games where the world is too busy to fake. It provides deterministic command execution, pathfinding, flow-field movement, combat, economy, cargo, structures, vision/FoW, day/night logic, replay, snapshot, checksum, and desync detection.

Core Capabilities

  • Deterministic lockstep simulation for up to 64 players.
  • 100,000+ active units at 15 Hz as the public scale target.
  • HPA* pathfinding and flow-field movement.
  • Combat, economy, cargo/transport, structures, day/night, and vision/FoW systems.
  • Replay, checksum, snapshot, desync detection, and reconnection foundations.

Use Cases

  • Large-scale strategy, tactics, 4X, battlefield, and simulation-heavy games.
  • Games with massive AI armies, factions, or crowds that need shared rules.
  • Multiplayer projects where replay, checksums, and desync tooling are not optional.
  • Teams that want a simulation foundation instead of starting from a blank ECS project.

Integration Model

Unity package, source license, assisted integration, benchmark validation, and optional Fireball or Nexus transport integration.

Best Fit

Teams building large-scale deterministic strategy or simulation games in Unity DOTS/ECS.

What It Is Not

Legion is not the game itself, not the rendering layer, and not a turnkey art or content pipeline.
